••• Prima "Mostra mercato d'Arte contemporanea", in via San Giuseppe (con lo sfondo architettonico del Duomo), chiusa al transito per l'occasione. La mostra, organizzata dal maestro Pietro Cordici (titolare della galleria d'arte "Il Capitello") con il patrocinio del Comune, ha offerto ai visitatori uno spaccato dell'arte in Sicilia oggi. Diversi gli artisti partecipanti a questa prima edizione (che si colloca in un ampio panorama artistico): alcuni emergenti e altri svariati anni di esperienza e con un bagaglio in evoluzione. Si tratta di un evento finalizzato ad avvicinare quante più persone all'arte contemporanea. Hanno esposto le loro opere Barca, Caracò, Mangano, Santomarco, Cordici, Blanca, Gregorio, Restifo, Triscari, Tiscari V., Coci, Guarcello, Parisi Fr., Tripodi, Monachino, Saccone, Di Pane, Di Pane j. Vernagalli. La mostra ha riscosso notevole successo, facendo registrare la presenza di tanti visitatori, nonostante si sia tenuta nel caldo pomeriggio di domenica scorsa e in concomitanza con altre manifestazioni. ••• First "Mostra mercato d'Arte contemporanea" (Contemporary art market exhibition), in San Giuseppe street (with the architectural background of the Duomo), closed to transit for the occasion. The exhibition, organized by the master Pietro Cordici (owner of the art gallery"Il Capitello" (The Capital)) with the patronage of the Municipality, has offered visitors a glimpse of the art in Sicily today. Several artists participating in this first edition (which is placed in a wide artistic panorama): some emerging and others several years of experience and with an evolving baggage. It's an event aimed at bringing as many people to the contemporary art. Have exhibited their works Barca, Caracò, Mangano, Santomarco, Cordici, Blanca, Gregorio, Restifo, Triscari, Tiscari V., Coci, Guarcello, Parisi Fr., Tripodi, Monachino, Saccone, Di Pane, Di Pane j. Vernagalli. The exhibition was highly successful, registering the presence of many visitors, despite being held on the hot afternoon of last Sunday and in conjunction with other events. (*CISC*)

••• Il pittore artista Piero Cordici, fondatore della galleria "Il Capitello", ha organizzato per domenica in via San Giuseppe la mostra mercato di arte contemporanea. È prevista la partecipazione dei più rappresentativi artisti della città, con opere riprodotte in legno, pietra, tecniche sperimentali di diversi elementi decorativi. In mostra anche le opere di Biagio Blanca. (*NDR*)

••• The artist painter Piero Cordici, founder of the gallery "Il Capitello" (The Capital), has organized for Sunday in San Giuseppe street the 1a mostra mercato di arte contemporanea (1st contemporary art market exhibition). It's expected the participation of the most representative artists of the city, with artworks reproduced in wood, stone, experimental techniques of different decorative elements. The exhibition also features the artworks by Biagio Blanca. (*NDR*)

Biagio Blanca, il muratore-scultore espone le teste mitologiche
(ndr) Biagio Blanca, 54 anni (nella foto), muratore, ma è anche artista quando si dedica al suo hobby di scolpire teste di pietra. Per questa sua passione di modellare la pietra si ispira ai personaggi mitologici. La vena artistica di Biagio Blanca è ben accettata dalla moglie Grazia, e dai figli Teresa, Salvatore e Giuseppe, in quanto lo vincola, nel tempo libero, a rimanere nel "laboratorio" ricavato nel giardino rurale della sua casa, nella zona collinare di contrada Muti.

(ndr) Biagio Blanca, 54 years (in the photo), bricklayer, but is also an artist when he dedicates himself to his hobby of sculpting stone heads. For this his passion to shape the stone is inspired by mythological characters. The artistic vein of Biagio Blanca is well accepted by the wife Grazia, and by the sons Teresa, Salvatore and Giuseppe, because it binds him, in his free time, to stay in the "studio" built in the rural garden of his house, in the hilly area of Muti quarter.
